report determines what type of aircraft, staffing, and equipment will be required for the best and safest
possible patient care.
The medical crew is supported by a virtually endless list of highly sophisticated advanced medical
equipment. The medical flight crew is trained to provide care from the basic, to advanced, to critical
care patient.
Onboard, the medical crew has the means to perform cardiac defibrillation, dysrhythmia control,
insert IV lines, administer drugs, maintain respiratory airways, and care for ventilator
